Onward Holdings Ltd is a northern based third generation family business and is a leading provider of various kinds of warehouse storage and more recently has ventured into retail parks. The commercial activities are currently grouped around five sites comprising head office at Featherstone, East Leeds, South Kirkby, Scunthorpe, Wakefield and Wath upon Dearne.
Most of the locations are strategically placed near motorway networks and transport links for easy access. A number of the sites are also based on reclaimed land, in keeping with the company’s philosophy of reducing, where possible, the environmental impact of development.
A substantial choice of warehousing units is offered including self-storage, bulk storage, managed, light industrial applications and long term storage, many of the larger warehouses have cross-docking facilities.
Security at the different sites also features highly in their design with full palisade fencing and 24 hour monitoring, making them ideal for both ordinary and high value cargo.
Onward Holdings’ first venture into retail units at the Onyx Retail Park has proved a huge attraction at the former Manvers colliery site, featuring many household names including Greggs, Dominos, Subway and Spar. The success of the Onyx retail site culminated in the bringing forward of the second phase due to unprecedented vendor demand. It is hoped that this achievement can be replicated in future projects.
The next development project is likely to take place at Scunthorpe and more information will be announced soon.
