Residential Development Land – Scunthorpe
It is anticipated that a former quarry site in Scunthorpe will be turned into hundreds of new homes if the local council approves Onward Holdings’ proposed multi million-pound building project that will provide a shot in the arm to the local economy as well as boost the area’s housing stock.
Our planning application is progressing with North Lincolnshire Council to gain outline consent that will see the new homes built on the 22-acre brownfield site located off Glebe Road, Scunthorpe. If planning permission is granted Onward Holdings will be looking to appoint a housebuilder to construct the new properties on the land that will help regenerate the area.
We are already a stakeholder in the local economy, owning nearby Glebe Park, a retail development which is occupied by a variety of national brands. It also has long term tenants in properties on Warren and Normanby Roads.
Providing reclaimed land for housing is in keeping with our philosophy of reducing, where possible, the environmental impact of development – the business has turned a former coal mine at Wath-upon-Dearne near Barnsley into the successful Onyx Retail Park.
